Follow us as we continue the story of a 120-year old apple farm in Hudson Valley, New York, a land shaped by millions of years of glaciers and millennia of human ingenuity and conservation.
Growing Pollinators, Food, Energy, and Ideas.
We grow acres of native medicinal flowering plants and trees within our orchard for the health of the bees and your honey.
Planted among the organic 120-year old apple trees are quality flowering herbs, plants and trees to improve bee health as well as quality to your honey.
Our honey is foraged from Maple, Echinacea and fields of New York Native Blossoms.
From early spring to late fall, our honeybees and local native bees forage from a pollen-rich farm including Maple trees, apple trees, Chamomile, Wild Basil, Red and White Clovers, Echinacea, St. John’s Wart, and many others.
Our hives are kept by an artist and fabricator, husband and wife team.
Created in the tradition of natural beekeeping, our apiary uses Layens horizontal hives. Our bees genetics are a mix of hardy Northern breeds and kept without any use of chemicals.
Our plants do it—and so do we. We power the farm and community with energy from our Sun.
Our solar panels power all operations at the farm and feed energy into the grid powering homes and businesses of our community.
